The State Duma approved a bill on an experiment in the field of residential housing in the Moscow region

The State Duma in the first reading approved a draft law on an experiment in the Moscow region, which aims to simplify and unify the requirements for the construction and reconstruction of private and garden houses. This was reported by RIA Novosti on December 3.

It is specified that the experiment is planned from January 1 next year until January 1, 2029. The bill was submitted to Parliament by a group of deputies and senators on June 26. It proposes to establish uniform rules for the construction of private and country houses in the Moscow region.

According to the draft, for land plots, the rights to which will be registered from January 1, 2026, the authorities of the Moscow region will be required to provide the new owner with an urban development plan of the land plot (GPZU) free of charge.

The GPP will specify the maximum parameters of permitted construction, including minimum deviations from the boundaries of the site, restrictions on the number of floors and height of buildings, as well as the maximum percentage of buildings in relation to the total area of the site.
