On December 3, residents of the city of Krasnoarmeysk told Izvestia about the liberation of a settlement by Russian fighters by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and their evacuation from dangerous areas.

Local resident Lyubov Solonaya reported that it was almost impossible to leave dangerous areas of the settlement and people had to hide from shelling and unmanned aerial vehicles. According to her, the residents "have not seen the sun for 11 months."

"It was hard to get out, of course, it was very hard, under fire, bullets whistled overhead. And then there's the minefield. The guys say they were withdrawing yesterday, there were no mines, and we were already walking through mines," she said, speaking about the evacuation from a dangerous area.

In addition, another local resident, Galina, said that she had been sent about five times to hide from Ukrainian drones. She clarified that drones with bombs often stopped over residential buildings.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a conversation with journalists at the VTB investment forum "Russia is calling!" on December 2, said that Krasnoarmeysk is a good springboard for solving all its tasks. To confirm this fact, the Russian leader invited foreign journalists, including Ukrainian ones, to personally visit Krasnoarmeysk, and promised that Russia would do everything to ensure their safety, as well as provide access to all quarters. The Head of State added that this proposal also applies to Kupyansk.
