Boris Rotenberg, Vice President of the Russian Judo Federation, is organizing a meeting with Olympic champions for a 14-year-old boy named Amir from the village of Roshchino in the Kaliningrad Region. He announced this on December 3 as part of the All-Russian New Year's action "Wish Tree", which takes place on the eve of the New Year.
It is specified that Amir dreams of taking part in a master class with Russian sambo and judo medalists.
"I think that we will arrange for Amir to meet not only with the winners and champions of Russia, but also with the winners and champions of the Olympic Games, world and European championships," said the vice president.
In addition, as part of the "Wish Tree", Rotenberg promised to fulfill the wishes of a 10-year-old boy, Joseph, who dreams of getting a bicycle, as well as an 8-year-old girl, Anastasia, who wants to visit the circus in St. Petersburg.
Arriving in Moscow on November 20, the All-Russian Santa Claus from Veliky Ustyug launched the annual Christmas Tree of Wishes campaign, which has been uniting Russians since 2018. It was noted that children with disabilities, life-threatening conditions, or with disabilities can send their wishes to the New Year's campaign, which is being held by the Movement of the First.
On December 3, Russian President Vladimir Putin took part in the action. According to tradition, the Russian leader chose three postcard balls with children's New Year's wishes, which he has to fulfill.
