In Yekaterinburg, flowers were laid at the memorial on the Day of the Unknown Soldier. The December 3 footage is published by Izvestia.

"When a memorial was built near the Kremlin in the Alexander Garden and the grave was laid and moved from the Moscow region there, it was in 1964. This tradition has been going on since that time," said Evgeny Mishulin, chairman of the Sverdlovsk Regional Public Organization of Disabled People and Veterans of Military Conflicts, Arsenal.

It is specified that the eternal flame was brought here by Mikhail Chislov, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War (WWII), back in 2015. Since then, people have been coming every year on December 3 to honor the memory of all the soldiers who fell in battle.

"Since childhood, such love for the Motherland and patriotism have been instilled. We know firsthand that today is the Memorial Day of the Unknown Soldier," said one of the protesters.

On the same day, flowers were laid at the memorial to Soviet soldiers in the Tiergarten in Berlin on the occasion of the Day of the Unknown Soldier. It is noted that the event was attended by Russian Ambassador Sergey Nechaev, employees of the Russian diplomatic mission, as well as teachers and students of the embassy's school.
