The sun in Moscow this fall shone 10 hours less than normal. Tatiana Pozdnyakova, a leading specialist of the Meteonosti news agency, reported this in her Telegram channel on Wednesday, December 3.

"November in Moscow was not sunny, the sun shone for only 22 hours during the month, with a norm of 30. In total, during the autumn season, the sun appeared for 262 hours at a rate of 272. The main contribution was made by sunny September," the Moscow City News agency quotes the forecaster.

According to the forecaster, in December, with a short daylight period, there is little sun in the capital — an average of 18 hours.

"The sun was most pleasing in December 2002 — 51 hours. And in 2000, the sun appeared for only three hours," the expert concluded.

A meteorologist told RT that no significant changes in the weather are expected in the capital region in the coming days.

According to her, the region is affected by a powerful anticyclone, providing high atmospheric pressure. In this regard, the sky will remain mostly cloudy, and precipitation will be insignificant, writes Moscow 24.

The day before, Pozdnyakova said that snow cover will appear in Moscow in mid-December. It will be stable, writes RIAMO.

Earlier in the day, the Hydrometeorological Center predicted cloudy weather in Moscow, mostly without precipitation, with fog in places on December 3.
