- The Russian Ambassador laid flowers at the monument in Berlin on the Day of the Unknown Soldier
In Berlin, flowers were laid at the memorial to Soviet soldiers in the Tiergarten on the occasion of the Day of the Unknown Soldier. This was reported on December 3 in the Telegram channel of the Russian Embassy in Germany.
"On December 3, 2025, on the occasion of the Day of the Unknown Soldier, a flower—laying ceremony was held at the memorial to Soviet soldiers in the Tiergarten," the statement said.
It is noted that the event was attended by Russian Ambassador Sergey Nechaev, employees of the Russian diplomatic mission, as well as teachers and students of the embassy's school. In addition, representatives of the German NGO Union for the Preservation of Traditions of the National People's Army and the Border Troops of the GDR took part in laying flowers.
Russian President Vladimir Putin laid flowers at the monument to Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky on Red Square in Moscow on November 4, National Unity Day. On November 20, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Western countries began to struggle with the historical truth about the Great Patriotic War 80 years ago — it began even within the walls of the Nuremberg Tribunal. It was noted that efforts to portray the aggressor as a victim quickly found a response in the reactionary circles of the British and US press.
