Moscow football club (FC) CSKA intends to make an offer for the purchase of 29-year-old Lokomotiv midfielder Dmitry Barinov in the winter transfer window. This was reported on December 3 to the newspaper Sport-Express by journalist Ivan Karpov.

According to the source, the army is ready to offer € 0.5 million for the player. In the last summer transfer window, CSKA already made offers to Lokomotiv regarding Barinov, the amount of which was € 1.5 million and € 3 million. However, the club refused, hoping to extend its own contract with the player.

This time, Barinov refused the offer from Lokomotiv. Thus, the 29-year-old midfielder will leave the club after his contract expires in the summer of 2026. According to the portal's source Championat.ru Barinov will transfer to CSKA as a free agent.

"The key reasons for the decision are not in finances, but in the difference in approaches of the club management. Lokomotiv delayed offering a new contract to its captain until the last moment, and when negotiations began, Barinov had already decided that the point of no return had been passed," the source said.

In the 2025/26 season, Barinov played 23 matches in all competitions, scoring three goals and making seven assists. According to the Transfermarkt portal, the cost of a football player is € 9 million.

In early September, it was reported that the midfielder of the Brazilian football club (FC) Sao Paulo, Enrique Carmo, would become a CSKA Moscow player. FC Stolichny offered the 18-year-old football player $6 million in a fixed amount and $1 million in bonuses. He played 13 games last season, scoring three goals and making one assist. The 19-year-old has signed a contract with the Russian club until June 2030.
