In Alushta, water will be supplied again according to schedule
A water supply schedule has been re-established in Alushta. The measures will be introduced on December 8. The reason for the restrictions is insufficient reserves in the Izobilnenskoye reservoir.
According to IA SevastopolMedia with reference to the State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Water of the Crimea", guaranteed water supply will be carried out from 06:00 to 10:00 and from 18:00 to 22:00 to ensure round-the-clock water supply.
The schedule will be valid until December 25th. During the New Year holidays, round-the-clock water supply to Alushta will be returned. After the holidays, the water supply procedure will be reviewed. The restrictions will be returned if necessary.
Previously, similar measures were introduced from October 1, 2025. The water supply was returned to 24-hour operation after heavy rains.
According to Sergey Shumilov, the chief engineer of the enterprise, now all the sources that replenish the reservoir have become more active. However, there is not enough water due to the filling of previously dried karst voids in the subsurface.
The eastern part of the city will not be affected by these restrictions. Shumilov explained that the Jur-Jur water pipeline is powered by waterfalls. Water will not be dumped into the sea, but will be distributed to people.
