The eternal flame was lit in the renovated Victory Park in the center of Birobidzhan

In Birobidzhan, on Wednesday, December 3, on the Day of the Unknown Soldier, a ceremony of laying flowers to the Eternal Flame was held in Victory Square. The event was the first in the square, which was transformed after the renovation. Now it is more comfortable and modern.

The city administration told IA EAOmedia that during the reconstruction of the park, the eternal flame was kept in the regional Association of veterans of the Russian Military.

Representatives of the City Duma, employees of the city government and residents who participated in the ceremony laid flowers at the memorial and honored the memory of the fallen with a minute of silence.

Earlier it was reported that new lanterns are being installed in the districts of the Eastern Administrative District, as well as in the capital of the autonomy, Birobidzhan. The initiative to create a modern street lighting system belongs to the leadership of the region, it is based on suggestions from residents of the region.
