A married couple was rescued from a snowy taiga in Yakutia
A married couple was brought out of the taiga in Yakutia. A husband and wife got lost on the way from Yakutsk to the village of Sitte. The couple were led out of the taiga on the border of Namsky and Kobyai districts by rescuers from the Tyubyatsky control and rescue station of the republic's rescue service.
As IA YakutiaMedia clarifies with reference to the press service of the regional rescue service, the call to rescuers was received at 17:44. The couple lost their way, getting to the village of Sitte. Rescuers managed to pull the car out of the snow and took the couple to the village of Bulus in Namsky district. No one needed medical help.
Earlier, on December 1, a storm warning was announced in Yakutia due to worsening weather conditions. Forecasters reported heavy snow and wind with gusts up to 15-20 m/s.
