The number of vacancies per unemployed person in Russia has increased from 6 to more than 25 in individual specialties. This was stated on December 3 by Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova during a speech at the All-Russian Personnel Forum.

"The number of vacancies per unemployed person with relevant experience has increased from 6 to more than 25 in individual working professions," she said.

In particular, according to Golikova, the number of vacancies for operators and machinists of various special equipment has increased from three to seven. As the Deputy Prime Minister noted, this also led to a 2-3-fold increase in salaries in these specialties.

She added that the number of school graduates who decide to study in the secondary vocational education (SPE) system is currently growing. Golikova clarified that the number of such graduates is 62.5%.

"The guys go to college and are happy to choose working professions," concluded the deputy prime minister.

The day before, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the VTB forum "Russia is calling!" that the country retains record low unemployment of 2.2%. According to him, this indicator is low, including for most of the world's largest economies.

Prior to that, on September 12, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation reported that unemployment in the Russian Federation is at historic lows. It was noted that wages are rising more slowly than last year, but the rate of increase is still outpacing the growth in labor productivity.
