The court sentenced the ex-deputy head of Lugansk to seven years in a penal colony for bribery

Marina Vorotnikova, the former deputy head of the Luhansk city administration, was sentenced to seven years in prison for accepting a bribe. This was announced on December 3 by the government of the Luhansk People's Republic (LNR).

"The ex-official was convicted of corruption and sentenced to seven years in prison in a general regime colony with a ban on holding positions in government agencies for eight years," the Telegram channel said.

The court found Vorotnikova guilty of accepting a bribe in the amount of 810 thousand rubles from the director of the municipal unitary enterprise "Generation of the city of Lugansk".

The court also decided to confiscate a sum of money corresponding to the size of the bribe to the state's income. The director of the enterprise who handed over the bribe was fined 500 thousand rubles, the fine was paid in full.

On the eve of the first deputy head of Nizhny Novgorod Sergey Egorov was detained in a case of bribery. The press service of the mayor's office added that, against the background of information about the detention of Egorov, the investigative authorities are being fully assisted.
