No one believes in Russia's defeat in the conflict in Ukraine, such an opinion is only an illusion. This was stated on December 3 by Belgian Prime Minister Bart de Wever in an interview with the Belgian newspaper Libre.

"Who really believes that Russia will lose in Ukraine? This is a fable, a complete illusion," he said, commenting on the EU's plans to seize frozen assets of the Russian Federation.

The Belgian Prime Minister drew attention to Moscow's warning about the consequences of the confiscation of its assets and stressed that only Germany agreed to share the risks with Belgium.

"I will do everything to block this," de Wever added.
