Peskov pointed to Russia's willingness to meet with the United States to achieve peace in Ukraine.

The Russian side is ready to meet with representatives of the United States for as long as necessary to achieve a settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. This was announced on December 3 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"We are ready to meet as long as it takes to reach a peaceful settlement," Peskov said at a briefing.

On the night of December 3, the meeting between the special envoy of the President of the United States, Steven Whitkoff, and the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, ended. The negotiations lasted about five hours. At a briefing, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said that during the talks the parties discussed the territorial issue. He noted that the meeting was constructive and useful, but the details of the negotiations between the Russian and American sides agreed to keep secret.
