Applications for the Mayor's Award in the field of architecture and urban planning have been accepted in Moscow. Projects that have received a certificate of approval of an architectural and urban planning solution in 2025 can become laureates, the head of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, said on the MAX network.
"We will identify 12 winners in different categories, from the best residential complexes under the renovation program to unique infrastructure solutions," Sobyanin wrote. The jury members will appreciate the elaboration of architectural solutions, the originality of the concept, the harmony of inclusion in the urban environment and how much the project contributes to improving the comfort of residents.
You can apply until February 15, 2026 via the award's official website. The awarding ceremony will be timed to coincide with Architect's Day, which is celebrated on the first Monday of July.
The Moscow Mayor's Award in the field of architecture and urban planning has been awarded since 2018. In 2024, 27 architects, the authors of 12 projects, became laureates. The new Bauman Moscow State Technical University campus, a school on Dmitrovskoe Highway, a house under the renovation program on Govorova Street, Aviamotornaya station on Bolshaya Koltsevaya and General Tyulenev station on Troitskaya Lines were among the best.
