- Jesus Christ, who fictitiously registered migrants in Kazan, received a suspended sentence
The Novo-Savinovsky district court of Kazan sentenced a local resident, Jesus Christos (such information is indicated in the man's passport), to two years of probation for fictitiously registering foreign citizens in his apartment. This was reported to Izvestia on December 3 by the court's press service.
In addition, a 45-year-old man has been placed on probation for 2.5 years.
According to the investigation, in the period from 2022 to 2023, Christ, guided by selfish motives, registered 45 migrants in a one-room apartment in Kazan — in fact, all of them lived elsewhere.
It is established that the man was repeatedly brought to criminal responsibility. In 1994 and 1996 — for robbery, in 1999 — for robbery, and in 2007 — for theft. Also, according to a source familiar with the case file, Christ was on the preventive register with a narcologist.
In August, it became known that a resident of Kazan, Jesus Christ, was fined 13 thousand rubles for fictitiously registering 45 foreign citizens in an apartment. Then the man confessed his guilt and repented. Christ explained that the motive for committing an illegal act was money — he received about 2 thousand rubles from each foreigner.
