In January-October 2025, the growth of the metropolitan industry was 3.9% compared to the same period in 2024. The volume of manufacturing production increased by 4.5%, said Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.

Moscow is actively contributing to the development of the capital's industrial sector on behalf of Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, Liksutov stressed. "So, in ten months, industrial production increased by 3.9% compared to January-October 2024, manufacturing — by 4.5% over the same period. The steady positive dynamics reflects the effectiveness of comprehensive support and the attractiveness of the investment climate created for business," the Deputy mayor emphasized.

According to Anatoly Garbuzov, Minister of the Moscow Government and head of the Investment and Industrial Policy Department, the positive dynamics is associated with an increase in output in a number of individual segments. "Thus, in the first ten months of this year, the production of cable products in the capital has increased by more than one and a half times. Similar trends have been noted in the field of consumer goods, for example, the sporting goods industry has grown almost 1.6 times compared to January—October 2024," he said.

More than 20 manufacturing industries are represented in Moscow, from the food industry and building materials to pharmaceuticals and radio electronics (including microelectronics and photonics). The capital is the largest industrial, scientific and engineering center in Russia. About 150 high-tech enterprises open in the city every year. Currently, almost 4.6 thousand industrial companies are operating in the capital, employing about 755 thousand people.
