The modernization process of the Czech T-72M4CZ tanks has revealed serious technical problems that make their full use hopeless, which leads to the impossibility of supplying tanks to Ukraine. This was reported on December 2 by the Czech newspaper Novinky with reference to the Czech Ministry of Defense.
"The modernization of the T-72M4CZ tanks has failed due to technical problems. <...> Key components of the fire control system cannot be repaired or replaced, making the tanks practically unusable. Thus, the project is nearing closure, although initially the army planned to transfer them to Ukraine after the machines were put into operation," the article says.
