Trump announced his intention to hit targets on land to combat the drug mafia

On December 2, US President Donald Trump announced that the United States would launch strikes against ground targets as part of the fight against drug cartels in Latin America.

"We will strike on land, just as we strike at sea. And now there are very few (drugs) coming from the sea. — Ed.). I think we've destroyed over 90% of everything. I understand that very little is being received. We are saving hundreds of thousands of lives with these targeted strikes," Trump said during a cabinet meeting.
