Drivers urged to be careful behind the wheel due to fog in Moscow

Metropolitan motorists should be careful when driving because of the fog. The press service of the Moscow Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development reported this on Tuesday, December 2, with reference to the Traffic Management Center (TSODD).

"Data center: fog is forecast until tomorrow afternoon — keep your distance and speed limit," the Moscow City News agency quotes the message.

Drivers were asked to be careful behind the wheel, to keep their distance and speed limits, as well as not to make sudden maneuvers and not be distracted by the phone while driving.

Earlier in the day, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the capital warned that fog with reduced visibility from 200 to 700 m is expected in Moscow on the night of Wednesday, December 3.

"In the period from 21:00 on December 2 to 12:00 on December 3, fog will remain in places on the territory of Moscow with a decrease in visibility to 200-700 m," the Moscow city News agency quotes the message.

In turn, Alexander Ilyin, a forecaster at the Meteo forecasting center, told RT that no significant changes in the weather in the capital region should be expected in the near future.

According to the forecaster, precipitation in the mixed phase is expected in the forecast for December 4, Moscow 24 reports.
