New car sales increased by 5% in Russia in November

By the end of November, 127.9 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Russia, which is 5% more than in November 2024. This is stated in the report of the analytical agency Autostat, which was received by Izvestia on December 3.

Lada still retains the leadership, which accounted for more than 21% of the total market volume (27.4 thousand cars) at the end of autumn. At the same time, in November 2024, Lada's share was about 10 percentage points higher. Haval turned out to be the most popular among foreign brands again, with cars selling almost 18,000 units in November.

The third place in the overall ranking was taken for the first time by a newcomer to the market — the domestic brand Tenet (9914 units). Sales of cars of this brand started only in August, and in November it managed to overtake such brands as Geely and Belgee (9672 and 8326 units, respectively). Changan (4,846 units), Solaris (4,113 units), Japanese Toyota (3,970 units), as well as Chinese Chery (3,160 units) and Jetour (2,225 units) also made the top ten.

Half of the brands that were among the market leaders showed negative dynamics in November. At the same time, Chery "sank" the most of them (-71.4%). Three brands have recorded market growth exceeding 100%. Solaris distinguished itself better than others here, with sales volumes tripling. For Belgee and Toyota, they increased 2.6 times and 2.1 times, respectively.

In just 11 months of 2025, 1.19 million new passenger cars were sold in Russia, which is 17.8% less than in January –November last year. During this period, Solaris gained the most (+135.2%), while Geely and Changan lost the most (-38.4% and -38.3%, respectively).

Earlier, on December 1, it was reported that in November, 14 car companies in Russia changed prices for new cars. In the first half of the month, 12 stamps were copied from the price lists, and two stamps in the second half.

On November 26, it became known that Russians spent 568 billion rubles on the purchase of new passenger cars in October, which is 38.6% more than in September of the same year. At the same time, the volume of cars sold was the largest since November 2024.
