In the Pushkin city district of the Moscow region, an unknown man shot two domestic dogs and brutally beat their owner after he refused to pay "compensation" for the dog sniffing his leg. The victim himself told Izvestia about this on December 2.

According to the narrator, on November 29, the man went to the store with the dogs and his elderly father. One of the pets sniffed at a passerby's foot, leaving a wet nose mark on his trousers. The incident exasperated the unknown man, after which he demanded money.

"I apologized to him, I said, 'Well, what should I compensate for? I wish I'd bitten you, inflicted some kind of injury. There was nothing." He answers: "Yes, I agree, but all the same, your dog poked me with his nose, left a stain on my pant leg," the victim said.

After leaving the store, the man noticed that the attacker was following them in a car. After a while, the pursuer stopped and continued to demand "compensation."

"I said to Dad, 'Let's not have any conflict, let's go down the forest road.' And we went into the forest. But it turned out that the same Mazda was waiting for us on the other side. And there was already not one person, but two. One of them was carrying a gun," the man said.

The attacker jumped out of the car and opened fire on the dogs. One dog was shot through the spine and died on the spot. An unknown person shot off the jaw of the second pet: the dog was taken to the hospital, but it was not possible to save it. After shooting the animals, the knacker pointed the gun at the man.

"I grouped up, I thought that now they would put me next to the dogs, too. After that, there was a blow to the face area, and then to the ribs," the victim said.

He noted that he had already written a statement to the police. According to the victim, the store clerks sided with him, confirming that the dogs had not caused any harm to the aggressor. Several dozen local residents also joined together to support the man and find the intruders.

The day before, a man in Moscow was convicted of cruelty to an animal, which led to his death. It was noted that the man, being in the forest area of the Warm Camp, deliberately stabbed a Great Dane dog belonging to a resident of the capital with a knife in the back area. As a result, the animal suffered injuries that led to its death. The man pleaded not guilty to the crime.
