Belousov pointed out the strategic importance of Krasnoarmeysk for the Russian Armed Forces

Defense Minister Andrei Belousov congratulated the fighters of the Center group on the liberation of the city of Krasnoarmeysk in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). In an address on December 2, the head of the department indicated that this settlement is of strategic importance to the Russian Army.

"As a result of decisive actions, the settlement of Krasnoarmeysk of the DPR has been liberated, which is of strategic importance and provides conditions for the further advancement of the group of troops," he is quoted as saying in the Telegram channel of the department.

Belousov appealed to the command and personnel of the 27th Guards Motorized Rifle Division, the 30th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade and the 439th Motorized Rifle Regiment.

"The Minister of Defense thanked the command and personnel of the units for the successful fulfillment of tasks, loyalty to the Fatherland and the oath, and expressed confidence in continuing to fulfill their tasks, honourably serving Russia and reliably ensuring its security," the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry added.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced on December 1 that Russian President Vladimir Putin had received reports on the liberation of Krasnoarmeysk in the Donetsk People's Republic and Volchansk in the Kharkiv region. It was clarified that he had heard reports from the Chief of the General Staff, Valery Gerasimov, Solodchuk, and the commander of the Vostok group, Andrei Ivanaev.
