The Federal Customs Service revealed a scheme of bribes of officials at a customs post in Moscow

The criminal scheme of receiving illegal monetary remuneration by customs officers on a large and especially large scale was revealed as a result of the joint work of the Anti-Corruption Department of the Federal Customs Service (FCS) and the Anti-Corruption Service of the Central Customs Administration. This was reported to Izvestia on December 2 by the Federal Customs Service.

"Officials of the Zelenograd customs post of the Central Excise Customs committed illegal actions in the interests of legal entities and individuals related to the closure of customs transit and the cancellation of the recycling fee," they said.

As a result, the customs anti-corruption units seized illegally obtained funds totaling more than 7 million rubles. The verification activities are continuing.

On October 28, the press service of the Federal Customs Service reported that employees of the North-Western Operational Customs had neutralized a drug laboratory in the Leningrad Region. Customs officers found out that the bulk cargo from East Asia contained a precursor intended for the production of synthetic drugs. As a result of further operational actions, two men who had previously served sentences for drug distribution were detained.
