During November, law enforcement officers prevented fraudsters from stealing 222 million rubles from 638 citizens. This was announced on December 2 by the Department for the Organization of the fight against the illegal use of information and communication technologies (UBK) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

"In November 2025, <...> together with colleagues from the regions, we prevented fraudulent crimes against 638 citizens. The amount of damage prevented amounted to over 222 million 145 thousand rubles," the department's Telegram channel said.

It is noted that law enforcement officers detained 69 couriers who were transporting stolen money.

The press service of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Krasnoyarsk Territory reported on the same day that police officers returned 650 thousand rubles to a 77-year-old pensioner, which she handed over to fraudsters. The woman collected the amount and handed the money to the young man who came to her house. However, the courier, who went to a financial institution to transfer funds to the fraudsters' account, was stopped by bank employees who called the police.
