The professional award "The Best in the industry-2025" was presented in Moscow on December 1 as part of the VIII Forum of Food Industry Leaders "Palm Branch of the restaurant business".
The first part of the program consisted of presentations attended by key restaurateurs, project authors and top managers of the restaurant business. The main theme of this year's event was the use of AI in the food industry.
Within the framework of the "Best in the Industry" award, a wide range of restaurant business professionals were recognized.
Andrey Anikiev (roomi restaurant, Arkhangelsk), Alexey Volkov (Polye Restaurant, Lea Bistro and Bar, Moscow), Alexander Ermakov (Fitz Gastro Project, Moscow), Maxim Tarusin (Voskhod Restaurant, Moscow), Director Trigel (Lila Restaurant, Moscow), Sergey Balashov (restaurants 800°C Contemporary Steak and Leo, Moscow), Ilya Blagoveshchensky (Sapiens restaurant, Moscow).
Ilyana Chernysheva (Miss you café, Moscow), Ekaterina Krieger (San Si restaurants, Moscow, and Black River, Voronezh), Artyom Grachev (Savva Restaurant, Moscow), Nikita Gavrilenko (Beluga Restaurant, Moscow) were named pastry chefs of the Year.
Sommelier of the Year became: Sergey Zhuravlev (Dr. Restaurant Zhivago, Moscow), Roman Manzhukov (hotel "Helvetia", Cafe Claret, St. Petersburg), Lesya Soboleva (Sadko restaurant, Krasnoyarsk), Alexey Zavertkin (Beluga Restaurant, Moscow).
The following gastro events were named: the Taste of Life Pastry Festival and competition (Moscow), the Set-o-Mania Museum and Gastronomic Festival (Moscow), the Eat the Plot Restaurant Festival (Yaroslavl), and the Alchemium Bar Project (Moscow).
The award for the best PR concept was awarded to the projects "Umai: the gastronomic code of Tatarstan", the Dumpling Guide festival (Yekaterinburg), and the project about young chefs Who's Next? (Moscow), "Sochi Code" (Sochi), "Dachniki: urban cottage" (Moscow)
The award was established in 2018 by the Palm Branch of the Restaurant Business community. Its main task is not to celebrate new concepts, but people working in the Russian restaurant business.
