Crews of 122-millimeter towed D-30 howitzers of the Guards Artillery Regiment of the Tula Guards Airborne Forces (Airborne Forces) of the North group of forces inflicted fire damage on the manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), disabled and destroyed artillery systems, fortifications and field ammunition depots of the enemy in the Sumy region. This was announced on December 2 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

As a result of aerial reconnaissance, a fortified point of the Ukrainian troops was identified, where active movement of militants was observed. The received coordinates were transmitted to the artillery crew of the 122-millimeter D-30 howitzer. The gunners quickly aimed the gun and destroyed the enemy's camouflaged stronghold with accurate fire.

"We work as follows: we receive installations from the division's fire control center via closed means of communication. We aim the gun at them and fire a shot. In the future, we also receive corrections via closed means of communication from the division's control center and continue to fire. We often work in any weather conditions, at any time of the day," said the commander of the firing platoon with the call sign Seliger.
