"We take theft very seriously because such ammunition should not fall into the wrong hands," the source told the publication.

According to the rules of safe transportation, the German Ministry of Defense clarifies that two drivers should always be assigned to such trips so that the second one monitors the cargo. The only driver, presumably, decided to leave the truck unattended and spend the night at the hotel. In total, unknown persons stole about 10 thousand cartridges for pistols, 9 900 cartridges for assault rifles and "anti-fog" ammunition.
