It is noted that the parties discussed the situation in the Gaza Strip, the issue of the disarmament of the Palestinian Hamas movement, as well as the expansion of peace agreements. According to the newspaper, the next visit will be Netanyahu's fifth since Trump's return to the US presidency. This conversation took place after the American leader warned the Israeli leadership against destabilizing the situation in Syria and the new Syrian leadership.
"It is very important that Israel maintains a strong and honest dialogue with Syria and that nothing happens that could prevent Syria from becoming a prosperous state," Trump wrote on his page on the Truth Social network.
Earlier, on November 3, Trump expressed confidence that the Palestinian-Israeli conflict would eventually be resolved, but doubted that it would happen according to the two-state model. The American leader also noted that the Palestinian Hamas movement will be destroyed if necessary, and the movement itself knows this.
Prior to that, on October 29, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced a return to observing the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip after a series of strikes on dozens of targets of Palestinian radical movements. According to the IDF, the attacks were directed against the command level of the groups operating in the area.
