Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of the Rossiya Segodnya media group and RT TV channel, said on November 30 on the Rossiya-1 TV channel that she had faced abuse in the summer when she was in the hospital with her daughter.

"My 12-year-old daughter and I went to the hospital, and the women at the reception were yelling at me and the child," she shared.

Simonyan noted that no one had screamed like that for a long time.

Earlier, on September 22, Simonyan announced that she was undergoing cancer treatment. RT's editor-in-chief added that she would soon be seen "wearing wigs."

Simonyan reported a serious illness on September 7, and on September 9, she wrote that she had come out of anesthesia after surgery. RT's editor-in-chief expressed gratitude to all those who worried about her. She stressed that she appreciates the support provided to her.
