The first ice fields with artificial turf have opened in the capital's parks. In total, 28 skating rinks under the Department of Culture will operate this winter, Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina said.
"Citizens and tourists are expected at 17 venues, including Tagansky Park, Vorontsovo Manor, Fili and Krasnaya Presnya parks. In addition to skating sessions, master classes and ice shows are organized for visitors," Sergunina said.
There is also a playground in the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve, along the embankment of the Moskva River. This skating rink has become one of the largest of the season — its area exceeds 13 thousand square meters. m. You can get to the place from the metro on a small New Year's train, the ride is free.
Another skating rink awaits guests at the arch of the main entrance to Gorky Park. A festively decorated fir tree is installed in the center of the playground. On weekends, performances by young performers are organized in the nearby "Media Room".
The Ice site in Sokolniki was renovated as part of a comprehensive improvement of the park. Its area is over 5 thousand square meters. m. Up to 500 people can ride here at the same time.
11 more ice rinks with natural ice will open at sub-zero temperatures. They will appear, in particular, in Sokolniki, Izmailovsky and Vorontsovsky parks.
