New details of Domogatsky's criminal past have become known.
Developer-blogger Sergey Domogatsky, who is suspected of fraud with the sale of villas in Bali, participated in the nationalist movement and was convicted at the age of 17 under the article "Robbery". Izvestia on December 1 tells the details of the blogger's criminal past.
The fraudster confessed to a criminal record at the age of 17 in his book "The Way. 9 steps of a breakthrough in life." The incident occurred in 2003, when Domogatsky, as part of a group of skinheads, participated in a nationalist attack on an Armenian in the Moscow metro. The victim later died, and Domogatsky was convicted under the article "Robbery" for stealing a phone from the deceased.
"Once, during one of the nationalist pogroms, an incident occurred that greatly affected my life. We went to a joint action with Moscow skinheads. In the subway, a guy from our company started a fight with an Armenian and took his phone away from him. <...> At the exit from the subway, we were already met by a police squad. Our entire company was taken to the department without trial for the subsequent initiation of criminal proceedings. As a result, at the age of 17, I got a criminal record," the blogger writes.
In his memoirs, he also describes in detail his participation in the pogroms of the homes of migrant workers, explaining this by the fear that they would "take over" Russia. Friends of Domogatsky told Izvestia that he openly supported the Nazi, blogger, founder of the National Socialist movement "Restrukt" Maxim Martsinkevich (Tesak) and used nationalist symbols.
After the start of the special military operation (SVO), Domogatsky left Russia and went to Turkey. In addition, in 2021, he probably began making donations to the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK, recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia).
On November 29, lawyer Alexander Zorin told Izvestia that the Prosecutor General's Office (GP) had been asked to check TV presenters Ksenia Sobchak and Larisa Guzeeva, as well as singer Lolita Milyavskaya, because of an advertisement for Domogatsky. According to him, on social networks they recommended Sergey Domogatsky, a real estate blogger, as their longtime friend, who did not fulfill promises to build houses in Russia and Indonesia, and actually used hidden advertising mechanisms.
Prior to that, on November 14, Zorin told Izvestia that they were trying to declare Domogatsky bankrupt in the Arbitration Court of the Moscow region, and at least 36 statements about his crimes had been filed. He added that the blogger actively recruited Russian celebrities to promote his projects. In particular, Guzeeva's manager called the price at 1.5 million rubles per post, and the advertisement featuring Sobchak and Lolita was submitted under the guise of personal recommendations and was "carbon-coded."
On November 10, Izvestia learned that Domogatsky, whom clients suspected of fraud with the sale of villas in Bali and stealing $2 million from them, bought real estate in South Africa for the same amount. The developer was actively promoted in her advertising by the famous TV presenter Larisa Guzeeva, who also ended up at the center of the scandal.
For three years, none of the Russians who paid for the villa ever saw their house, and the author of the project began to invent excuses and disappeared, taking the clients' money. The Indonesian police are currently investigating his case.
