The family of legendary football player Nikita Simonyan received the gold medal of the Hero of Labor of Russia. This was announced on December 1 by the press service of the Russian Football Union (RFU).

"Nikita Pavlovich was awarded the title Hero of Labor of Russia on October 10, 2025, "for his special services to the state and his great contribution to the development and popularization of Russian football," according to a statement posted on the organization's website.

The award and the relevant documents were handed over to the daughter of football player Victoria Simonyan by the Secretary General of the RFU Maxim Mitrofanov.
