Nabiullina pointed out the importance of the Central Bank's dialogue with Russian business

The Central Bank of the Russian Federation is in constant contact with Russian businesses, which helps the regulator make timely changes to its policy, focusing on new trends, as well as make informed decisions. This was announced on December 1 by the head of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, Elvira Nabiullina, in a video message to the participants of the communication session "Current issues of the monetary policy of the Bank of Russia."

"For the Central Bank, a sincere and frank conversation with businesses and entrepreneurs is a real opportunity to find out in detail what is happening in the economy. <...> Constant contact with the business helps us make timely adjustments to new trends when they are just emerging, and ultimately help us make informed decisions," she said.

According to the head of the Central Bank, in dialogue with Russian business, "the general pictures" of the economy are becoming clearer, and "common coordinate systems" are emerging. Nabiullina stressed that before each decision related to the key rate, the board of directors of the regulator analyzes all available data on the situation in the regions and in different areas.

According to her, it is important for the Central Bank of the Russian Federation to receive this information from people who work daily to develop the Russian economy, as they are the ones who see demand, understand the situation in their industry, and are aware of both "pain points" and growth points.

"It seems to me that business has become more aware of the Central Bank's policy. The voices of entrepreneurs calling for faster reduction of inflation are becoming louder, and not just calls for faster reduction of interest rates," Nabiullina concluded.
