Sobyanin spoke about the continuation of the construction of the Biryulevskaya metro line

During the construction of the Biryulevskaya metro line, workers began tunneling the left tunnel from the Island of Dreams station to the Klenovy Boulevard station. The mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, told about this in his channel in the MACH messenger.

According to the mayor of the capital, the work is being carried out with the help of the Esmina tunnel complex. He will have to drill a tunnel 1.68 km long. at a depth of 29 meters underground. At the same time, the metro builders continue the work started in the summer on the sinking of the right tunnel, where the Elena tunnel complex is involved. Work in both tunnels will be completed in the coming 2026.

The Biryulevskaya branch will become the seventh metro line to appear in the capital since 2014. To date, work is underway at three stations — "ZIL", "Island of Dreams" and "Klenovy Boulevard". Subsequently, the Biryulyovo branch line will be extended to Vostochny and Zapadny Biryulyovo. Thanks to the metro, residents of these areas of the capital will be able to get to the city center half an hour faster. The line will significantly improve transport links for the districts of the south of the capital, where over a million people live, reduce the load on the Zamoskvoretskaya, Bolshaya Koltsevaya and Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya branches, provide transfers to the MCC, BCL, Troitskaya and Zamoskvoretskaya lines and Paveletsky direction of the Moscow Railway.
