Wartime shells found and destroyed near Lipetsk
Explosive objects from the Great Patriotic War were defused in the Lipetsk region. They were discovered on November 28.
According to GOROD48, the pyrotechnic group of the emergency rescue squad of the regional State Border Guard Service was engaged in the neutralization. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the region told the agency that it was about two artillery shells, 76 mm and 122 mm.
In October, it was reported that in the Kaliningrad region, specialists from the demining groups of the separate marine engineering regiment of the Baltic Fleet had defused more than 500 munitions from the Great Patriotic War. The ammunition found and defused includes cartridges, artillery shells, faust cartridges, as well as mortar and naval mines.
