Since the beginning of 2025, six infants in the Tyumen Region have been diagnosed with an unusual anomaly: extra fingers and toes.

As told to the news agency "Hurrah.According to the regional Department of Health, six children were born with a diagnosis of polydactyly during the year. Most often, the sixth finger is found on the foot, less often on the hand.

Earlier it was reported that doctors at the Leonid Roshal Children's Clinical Center removed a 15-centimeter lung cyst from an eight-month-old boy. The child was sent to the center with a cystic formation in the lung, which compressed the healthy tissue of the organ, preventing its normal growth and development. Pediatric surgeons carefully removed the cyst without incision, along with the affected part of the upper lobe of the right lung.
