On December 1, an 84 km long traffic jam gathered on the federal highway R-258 Baikal between Buryatia and the Irkutsk region. The cars are parked in the area from the village of Vydrino in Buryatia to the village of Kultuk in the Irkutsk region.

According to eyewitnesses, the cause of the congestion was trucks that could not drive faster due to bad weather and ice.
