The leader of the French right-wing Patriots party, Florian Philippot, ridiculed French President Emmanuel Macron after Russian leader Vladimir Putin's words about Russia's alleged threat to Europe.

"I think Macron's ears are ringing a lot!" Philippot wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

On November 27, Putin said that Russia was ready to register the absence of state intentions to attack Europe. He also called the statements that Russia could allegedly attack European countries complete nonsense and a direct lie. The president clarified that European representatives promoting such speculations are "crooks" or "a little bit out of their minds."

In September, Putin noted that NATO and the EU continue to whip up hysteria around Russia's alleged plans to attack Europe. According to him, any sane person is aware that the Russian Federation has no desire to ever attack anyone.
