A British tourist had his heart pulled out in a hospital in Cyprus.
76-year-old Michael Grayley, a vacationer in Cyprus, who was hospitalized with a leg cramp, died, and a second autopsy found no heart in his body. This was reported by The Sun newspaper.
According to the newspaper, Grayley was vacationing on the island with his 73-year-old wife Yvonne. The man was taken to the Paralimni hospital, where he died 10 minutes after treatment.
The widow was informed about the preliminary autopsy, after which the body was sent to the UK. However, British doctors found that the Cypriot doctors did not indicate the official cause of death. As a result, the Coroner's Office conducted a second examination, but it became impossible to determine the exact cause of death due to the absence of a heart.
Cyprus police said Grayley's heart had been sent to a research center. Rochdale law enforcement agencies are continuing their investigation.
