Avatr hybrid cars will appear in Russia in 2026

Hybrid modifications of Avatr cars (the brand is part of the Chinese concern Changan) are planned to be launched in Russia in 2026. The president of Changan Eurasia, Sun Jiejun, told the Izvestia correspondent about this.

"We plan to expand the Avatr line in the Russian market to include hybrid models, sales should start in 2026," the top manager shared.

Currently, the brand's model range in Russia is represented by one Avatr 11 electric crossover, which this year will be joined by the Avatr 12 fastback (also with a purely electric power plant). Changan announced the launch of the Avatr luxury brand in Russia in November last year. The brand was created in partnership with the Chinese IT giant Huawei.

Avatr hybrid models are already on sale in the neighboring Belarusian market. These are the 4.8-meter Avatr 06 sports sedan and Avatr 07 crossover, which can accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h in less than 7 seconds and travel more than 1,000 km without stopping to recharge or refuel.

Earlier, on November 27, Changan shared details about equipping the new Changan CS75Plus crossover for the Russian market. The model will receive all-wheel drive for the first time, the power plant has become more powerful relative to the previous generation SUV.
