The new Geely EX5 EM-i crossover, the brand's first hybrid model in Russia, has gone on sale. This is stated in the message of the Russian representative office of the Chinese company, which was received by Izvestia on December 1.

The crossover is offered in two trim levels priced from 3.57 million and 3.87 million rubles, respectively.

The Geely EX5 EM-i hybrid power plant is series-parallel. The traction electric motor develops 218 hp and accelerates the car from a standstill to 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds. During long trips, an internal combustion engine with a volume of 1.5 liters and a power of 99 hp is used, which both recharges the battery and can directly drive the front wheels. In hybrid mode, the maximum range of the car is 943 km on the WLTP cycle. The crossover is equipped with a lithium-iron-phosphate traction battery with a capacity of 18.4 kWh.

The initial EX5 EM-i package includes six airbags, 18-inch discs, a multimedia system with a 15.4-inch display and integration of iOS smartphones, a six-speaker audio system, adaptive cruise control, and a winter package with heated seats, windows, and steering wheel. There is also a 10.2-inch digital dashboard, adaptive cruise control, six audio speakers, rear camera and parking sensors. Seat adjustment is mechanical.

The top-of-the-line equipment offers inch-larger wheels, an all-round view system, and front parking sensors. There is an electric folding mirror, atmospheric illumination, panoramic roof with sunroof, electric tailgate, projection display, wireless charging for mobile devices. The front seats are equipped with electric controls and ventilation. The rear row is complemented by a central headrest, a folding armrest and heated seats. An expanded range of driver assistants is also provided.

Earlier that day, it was reported that the AGR Holding automobile plant in Kaluga plans to start production of the Tenet T9 crossover in 2026. It will become the fourth model of the Russian brand after the compact crossover T4, mid-size T7 and seven-seat T8, which were launched in the summer.
