A strong high-class X flare has been recorded on the Sun.
A powerful flare of the highest class X was recorded in the Sun in the early morning hours. This was announced by Mikhail Leus, chief specialist of the Phobos Weather Center.
"In the early morning hours, a strong flare of the highest class X was recorded in the Sun. According to preliminary data, its capacity was X1.95 points," Leus wrote on his Telegram channel.
The peak of solar activity occurred at 5:49 Moscow time. According to the expert, this outbreak has become one of the five most powerful since the beginning of 2025. However, the source of the flare, a group of sunspots, is located far from the Sun—Earth line, so the probability of plasma ejection on our planet is close to zero.
On November 28, the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy at the Institute for Space Research (IKI) announced that a resumption of strong solar flares of level M is expected, and there is a possibility of flares of a more powerful level X.
