The combined revenues of the world's largest arms manufacturers increased by 5.9% and reached a record $679 billion in 2024. This was announced on December 1 by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI).

"Last year, global arms sales reached the highest level recorded by SIPRI, as manufacturers benefited from high demand," said a researcher at the institute.
