Fraudsters often pretend to be employees of educational organizations in order to deceive students, and demand codes from students under the pretext of not being allowed to take the exam. This was reported on December 1 in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

"Here are the standard phrases most often used by scammers to obtain an authorization code: "you have not passed the certification and will not be allowed to take the exam, but you can take the test on our website," RIA Novosti quoted the agency as saying.

It is noted that they often ask for codes to log into a student's electronic diary, and they may also require registration on a dubious educational resource.
