Two female Amur tigers arrived at the Moscow Zoo, which were removed from nature in the Khabarovsk Territory to ensure the safety of citizens and preserve the lives of the animals themselves. This was announced on November 30 by the zoo's press service.

"Both females were captured in the Khabarovsk Territory at the end of 2024. An adult in the Lazo district, a young one in the Nanai district," the Telegram channel says.

Last fall, the tigresses were placed in the Utes rehabilitation center. After completing the necessary procedures, the animals were transported to Moscow. The zoo noted that the tigresses endured the journey well. After arriving at the Reproduction Center, they were released into individual enclosures. After examining the territory, the animals went to shelters where they could rest.

On October 11, a baby monkey named Diana, listed in the Red Book, was born in the Moscow Zoo. It was noted that this animal species lives in the jungles of West Africa and is listed as vulnerable in the Red Book. In addition, the species got its name in honor of the Roman goddess of hunting Diana.
