The situation with Russian tourists in Venezuela remains stable. All tour operators continue to implement programs to Venezuela and Margarita Island. This was reported to Izvestia on November 30 by the Russian Union of Travel Industry (PCT).

It is noted that at the moment there have been no official recommendations or restrictions from the Russian Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Economic Development. The PCT is also in constant contact with industry participants and is closely monitoring developments.

It is clarified that, against the background of changes in the schedule, Pegas Touristik postponed the flight Moscow — Porlamar, scheduled for December 1, to Varadero, Cuba. At the same time, tourists were offered alternative accommodation of a comparable or higher level or a refund of the cost of the tour on deposit. So, Russians who are already vacationing on Margarita will be delivered to the capital on a scheduled special flight.

The PCT stressed that the remaining tour operators continue to implement the programs without changes and there are no grounds for concern.

The day before, US President Donald Trump called on all airlines to consider the airspace over and around Venezuela closed.

The Venezuelan Foreign Ministry condemned Trump's statement on the closure of the airspace over the country. The words of the American leader were described as hostile towards the country.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
