The WSJ reported on Trump's threats to use force against Venezuela
US President Donald Trump told Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro during a telephone conversation last week about possible military measures if he does not leave office. This was reported on November 29 by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), citing sources.
"Trump told Maduro that if he did not leave voluntarily, the United States would consider other options, including the use of force," the publication said.
It is noted that Trump and Maduro discussed Venezuela's demands for a general amnesty for Maduro, his senior aides and their families, as many of them faced financial sanctions and criminal charges from the United States.
