Skier Bakurov reported on the consequences of Bolshunov's push at the Russian Cup
Russian skier Alexander Bakurov reported on November 29 about the consequences of the incident that occurred after the sprint at the Cup of Russia, when he was pushed by rival Alexander Bolshunov.
"Because of all this, I won't be able to start tomorrow and probably won't be able to recover in time for the next stage of the Russian Cup. It's a shame to miss races because of such stupid accidents. Be kind, healthy and treat each other with respect," Bakurov wrote on his Telegram channel.
The 28-year-old Bolshunov finished last in his semifinal run after falling at the final turn in his fight with Bakurov. After the finish, he approached his opponent and elbowed him in the back, for which he was disqualified from the race. Bakurov will miss the next stage of the Russian Cup due to a soft tissue injury.
