A decision on the frozen Russian assets may be made at the European Union (EU) summit in Brussels, which will be held on December 18. This was announced on November 29 by French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noel Barraud in an interview with La Tribune Dimanche newspaper.
"All this will be the subject of discussions in the coming days, which, I hope, will lead to a decision at the European Council meeting on December 18," he said.
